HI guys

For those interested in Salsa, new classes are beginning next wk that you may be interested in! Venues on Rozengracht and in de Pijp. Theyre offering intensive beginners courses every Monday for 4 wks and the idea is you learn in 4 wks what you would learn in 10, ie progress faster and ready for the Salsa clubs!

Check out www.extremos.nl

Ive registerd with a few friends but would be good to see if anyone else wants to go along : )

FYI they do twice monthly club nights too at their venue on Rozengracht, so we'll be going on Fri 13th Aug, so block that date too! : )

Hi Michelle

You might want to talk to Jennifer about this, she is a dance teacher with Extremos and has offered (and probably will still offer) some free dance courses to the group.

Hey Michelle!

I will be seeing you on Monday right? I hope so, because get this.... i'm the teacher! And you are absolutely right! This summer intensive course is a good way to learn you basic steps faster!

In June, I offered the meetup group a free lesson and free entrance into the salsa party afterwards. The turnout was good! We even had more GUYS! It was a fun introductory lesson, but to really learn all the steps, timing, lead and follow, musicality,styling..... nothing replaces taking a dance course that gets together for several weeks.

Also.... in the class you meet other people who are beginners too. And we have a great mix of expats and dutchies! So there is no worries about feeling nervous. Really! Besides, i'm the biggest clown in the class.

And because you and your friends now registered Extremos beginner students, you will get FREE entrance into the party on 13 Aug. :-) but you are right we do have parties scheduled twice a month (every 2nd & 4th Friday). If members of this meetup are interested, perhaps we could make one of those parties (preferably the 4th) a salsa night for the group.

But you will be ahead of the game because you will know your basics! ;-)

I look forward to seeing you in class!

Jennifer et al,

I have already done Beginners II Intensive, and will be starting next week with Beginners III Intensive, but also doing Beginner II again. I believe the Beginners II is with you, Jennifer, on Tuesdays.

For others just starting, it would be great to meet up at the salsa party on the 13th - good for me to dance with some new ladies, and perhaps I could give some newbie guys some tips!

Hey brad!

I hope you will go to Westergas tonight! I think we have more girls so we are going to need a few men!

Hi guys

Loving the Salsa classes so far!!

Two classes done so I think Im ready to try out the club night this Friday! I'll put it up as a meet up; good way for people to try it out and see if they want to carry on. I havent been to the Rozengracht venue before but am hoping it should be a good night and I wont be disappointed! We can see how it goes and then see about making it more of a regular thing.

See you Friday!
